A lovingly handcrafted Clay Coalpot, is a unique part of St Lucia 's heritage...it's also extremely efficient, tactile, beautiful, and a satisfyingly usable... piece of living history... first used by the early Amerindian settlers, who were skilled Potter's, and still widely used throughout the Island, alongside the everyday calor gas or electric cooker...with it's sturdy shape and plump lidded pot on top...the rich earthen tones and individual patina, created by wood firing...they are both unique and functional, 'works of art'...

Until I can get another shipment, I have managed to get some locally produced... from Stuart Gill Coppicing Products, he's based near Woodhall, it's a Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust product so they get a £1.00 per bag donation, he supplies all the Lincolnshire Co-op's... all wood sourced from the Trust's own woods.
